TWILIGHT IS THAT SPECIAL PLACE BETWEEN THE END OF NIGHT AND THE BEGINNING OF DAY. A PLACE THAT WE OFTEN FIND OURSELVES IN THROUGH THE COURSES OF LIFE. A WOMAN AND HER MOON IS A VERY SPECIAL AND CELABRATED PLACE AMONGST NATIVE AMERICAN PEOPLES, AND BETWEEN MISS BECKY AND I...THE SPIRIT OF BEING AWARE OF THAT POWER IN US.

DO NOT!!
DO NOT!
Do not enter!
There always seems to be indication of the places we should not go, always something to let us know ... we do not belong here, this is not ours, do not touch...anything.
Well I do not know about the rest of you and choose not to speak for anyone else but...
I AM A HANDS ON KIND OF GIRL!
Curious as a cat but, seldom quiet as a mouse.
Do not?
Yep, probably gonna do it.
Stay out? Definitely goin in.
Do not touch? Well...is it textural?
Never put that in your mouth? What does it taste like?
HOT! OK but, how hot? (yes I have been burned.).
We learn a lot from other peoples experiences it is true...but lets face it...those ARE other peoples experiences.
Do not?
I must say...I DO!

Uplifting
The image is not new
It's from June 2008
Take a look at Sedona, AZ from the seat of a biplane
For my birthday Dave bought us both a seat in this incredible machine
How's that for a birthday treat!?
Occasionally, but not often enough
I dream of flying
and I DO
High and gracefully
looping
diving
soaring
unencumbered by earth's boundaries
or gravity
I take special delight when ground bound folk see me
stare, mouths agape
with wonder
disbelief
astonishment
Rather naughty of me I know
But ..... ya' know ;-)
I think the biplane must have been invented with someone who had the same dream
And couldn't bear to wake up
So he (or she) brought the dream to "this side"
Thank goodness for dreamers who are also doers!!
And thank goodness for having a man in my life who knows what to do when my world seems a little to small
And the need to "fly" becomes overwhelming
Airplanes
Motorcycles
Quads
Ah yes
Life truly IS a ride ...
If you're really lucky
You meet someone who will ride beside you
Not in front of you
Not behind you
But
Beside you
Ride On!!!

Rest
A Happy Crystal Pier Plant
Today is a day I must Rest
My physical and spiritual Self is saying
STOP!!!!
SLOW DOWN!!
Weariness has crept up on me
A cold has been trying to tackle me for a month now
My left eye is a pool of bloody hemorrhage
(sounds brutal, looks disgusting..don't know how it happened but more importantly it doesn't hurt)
I surrender
My "paying work" is abundant
and I am thankful
But a few days must be saved
to save me
Balance in all things sometimes means walking away
for a day
or two
and I do!
In a perfect world I would sit on the beach and listen to the waves today
But alas, perfection is just beyond my grasp ;-)
So I shall share a photo of a very happy plant
growing in a very happy pot
in a very happy spot
on Crystal Pier, San Diego
Tackle chores that require no brain power
Sit a bit
Write a bit
Perhaps take a nap
Take an early afternoon quad ride
Or not
The work will still be there when I return
Thank goodness!
If I don't take this day
It feels like it will take me
And there ain't no day that's the boss of me!! ;-)

THE REST OF MY LIFE...
Well, there it is.
Everything I am going to need to make decisions on what to do with the rest of my life.
The coffee is to keep me going. The alcohol is to help me think I am smart enough. Ya know...kind of like playin pool, the more you drink the better you get...ya right!
The phone is really for all my friends so they can call and say "you can do this", and hopefully, maybe, bring me food and calorie filled pastries.
School.
Scary.
Long commitments.
Transfers.
Holy shit!
What your looking at...?
Interests tests, classes of certification, licences, lists of B.A.'s available here, lists from 3 others schools and one sheet possessing one full semester of transferable credits in green.
The greatest decisions I will ever make...right there.
Follow the dream or stay inside the box?
The final curtain opening for one last scene, one last bow, one last applause.
If I don't do it now, will I wish I had in another 4 years?
I will be 50 when I graduate, a young 50 of course, but still 50.
The rest of my class...half that.
I hate it when I have rational thought...

Ode to Mr. Marson
Took the Jeep high into the mountains today
To enjoy the warm day and play
Explore what once was Alexandria, AZ
A long gone mining town
Dave's mountain driving skills were at their best as we wound up and down steep narrow guardrail-less trails
Found a flat open area to park....and did just that
And directly in front of the Jeep was this...
A grave
Some local organization had recently placed an engraved plaque at its head
and it said
"Mr Marson"
1877
Slipped and fell on a bloodied knife used to kill beef
First death in the Peck District
Alexandria, AZ
I can't imagine what life was like up here in 1877
What I do know is that only the hardiest survied
And sometimes even they didn't make it
If they slipped in the wrong place...at the wrong time
on a bloodied knife ... used to kill beef
The next time you think YOU'RE having a bad day
Think of good 'ole Mr Marson
Then re-think your day......
A HOPI PRAYER FOR OUR WORLD....
Today I choose to do something different.
Something to evoke the depth of the place I am right now, between the spaces of past, present and future.
Still feeling the immense connection to the places I have been of recent, where it is I wish to go.
Continually understanding what it is we are being taught by those hundreds and thousands of years before us...they had the foresight to see where our world would take us and to know where it is we should be...
